Living Arrows 11/52

IS-5 The sand for the sandpit arrived last Monday and Wal spent the arvo loading the sand in and then playing trucks and cars with Eddie. I was pretty happy to capture this moment with my camera- Wal teaching him how to give a good handshake. It occurred to me in that moment that we are raising a man. I know he will be a boy and a teenager who's bedroom smells like farts & socks first but that Monday afternoon, when my son shook his Father's hand was the first time I could see him as a grown man. His own Father, my Father, Wal’s Father, his Uncles (he has 4, the lucky lad)- I cant even express how thankful and pleased I am that he has such wonderful examples in his life of what a Man is.
