So, I am finally getting around to showing you the little bunny I knitted for Ed for Easter. I came across the Beau the Bunny pattern while scrolling though my Instagram feed and clicked straight through to the Little Woolens Ravelry page and purchased it on the spot. I thought this little bunny would be the perfect gift for Ed for Easter being that we are not big on giving him solid bits of chocolate yet. I really enjoyed knitting this bunny up, he was so quick and easy. I used some Quince & Co Ospray yarn I had left over from a sweater I knitted for a friends little one ages ago. I love this colour and really want to knit something for myself out of it. Beau is a great name for a bunny but we’re very into renaming toys, usually to something really occa and Aussie so we've renamed this little guy Knackers. I really want to make another of the Little Woolens softies- Winston the Walrus is next one my list.
In amongst the couch time, cuddles, Harry Potter watching, toddler tantrums (I thought the terrible twos were a myth... I was wrong) late nights, early mornings; knitting, sewing, order packing, car track playing and book reading thats been going on this week we managed to bake a cake. Its the Lemony Olive Oil Banana Bread from the 101 cookbooks site. Its a banana bread but I treat it more like a cake. Its one of my most favourites, so dense and moist. I put pretty much double the recommend amount of icing in the recipe because, well, I love Icing the best.
I hope your week was filled with more Harry Potter watching, cakes and cuddles than it was toddler tantrums, late nights and early mornings!
